About Us
Who we are
The Dog Runners is managed by Harold. Harold has a background in Psychology, a certificate in Animal First Aid and an OFQUAL Regulated Level 3 qualification in Professional Day Care and Boarding.
I take my passion for dogs seriously and offer day care as well as home boarding for a small Group of dogs including my own Border Collie and Sheltie.
I love to be outdoors with the dogs come rain or shine. I walk and run with the dogs, depending on ability and needs in a number of areas in and around the Surrey area. I also offer other forms of enrichment and can support rehabilitation of doggys recovering from illness or surgery.
Home Setting
I am licensed for 10 dogs (including my own 2 furry friends) by Mole Valley Council (Ref: 056373) and I take my license and the welfare of dogs in my care seriously so I follow a very thorough onboarding process as I learn about your preferences and your dog(s).
I have plenty of indoor and outdoor space in my home to comfortably care for all of my furry residents.
I am insured but ask that owners insure their own dogs to cover medical and veterinary bills.
Small Group Focus
All dogs are different so we work with you to define an appropriate daily plan to support the needs of your dog in a family setting.

"Harold had Foxy to stay for a two weeks at short notice this summer [2020], following the changes to travel advice. Even though time was short, Harold took care to plan an introductory session with Foxy to ensure she got on with their dog and to understand her temperament. She also spent a trial morning at Harold home, where the dogs stay - a very comfortable arrangement with a large garden. By the time of our holiday, we had real confidence Foxy was going to settle well. During our holiday, Harold ensured Foxy got lots of walks, enrichment sessions and care and attention. This was all documented through a WhatsApp photo diary which was a great way to keep in touch. Foxy was very happy and calm when we picked her up, and had evidently had a lovely time walking the Surrey hills. We would have no hesitation in using The Dogrunners again to board Foxy!"
